While Memorial Day is the official/unofficial? kick-off to Summer & becomes a long weekend for most of us, it is not lost on me the significance of this holiday. So, a huge THANK YOU to those who have served our country. Some truly have given all; and we know – for sure – that freedom isn’t free. I have huge respect for all service men and women. And I remember and honor the ones who have sacrificed for the freedoms I enjoy today.
And one more quick note… Happy Anniversary to my husband Pete! We’ve been married 27 years today! We’re old.

I went to Anna Maria Island for some beach time a couple of weeks ago, I seriously couldn’t remember the last time I had taken the time to actually go and just sit and enjoy the beach! I took time off from work and all the time it took prepping everything was well wirth it once I got there and was able to just cast my cares into the ocean! I must make this my new detox! ⚓️

Butler Beach, it’s a smaller, quieter bit of Crescent Beach just south of St. Augustine. It’s the beach my childhood beach memories were made at. 🙂

My last beach trip was a long weekend to Gulf Shores. It was my first time visiting there and I thought it was absolutely beautiful. I love the beach so much! I feel like it cures everything! I enjoy listening to the birds and the soothing sounds of the waves. I just sit back and watch everything in amazement and think about how God created all of it! It truly is awesome!

Last time we went to the beach was in early March and we went to St, Augustine. It was cold and a. It overcast. It we needed some fresh air and the sound of the waves to rejuvenate. We live on a farm and it was time to reconnect as a family. Truly time well spent-even if it was short.
